# denotes a temporary table. This tells SQL Server that this table is a local temporary table. This table is only visible to this session of SQL Server.
The PERIODADD() function adds a specified number of months to a period. The PERIODADD() function will return the result formatted as YYYYMM.
Arithmetic Operators SymbolOperation+AdditionSubtraction*Multiplication/Division1 more row
Do not use period in database names, publication names, user names. And I strongly recommend never to use a period in name (column, table, view, database, etc).
The plus sign is Oracle syntax for an outer join. There isnt a minus operator for joins. An outer join means return all rows from one table. Also return the rows from the outer joined where theres a match on the join key. If theres no matching row, return null.
A join clause in SQL corresponding to a join operation in relational algebra combines columns from one or more tables into a new table. Informally, a join stitches two tables and puts on the same row records with matching fields : INNER , LEFT OUTER , RIGHT OUTER , FULL OUTER and CROSS .
Dot notation (sometimes called the membership operator ) qualifies an SQL identifier with another SQL identifier of which it is a component. You separate the identifiers with the period (.) symbol.
