ARC is a tag certification program [8] which ensures that RFID tags applied to pre-defined items meet or exceed the retailers performance requirements. ARC keeps a database of tags available on the market that pass certain ARC specs.
An easy way to tell if your credit card has an RFID chip is to look for an RFID symbol on the front or back of the card. The symbol looks similar to a sideways WiFi symbol or radio waves. However, its important to note that not all cards with RFID capabilities will have a symbol on them.
RFID stands for radio frequency identification. It is a technology used to track the position of physical objects and their locations simultaneously in real-time. With RFID warehousing technology and tracking systems, products (or any object) may be scanned and tracked from anywhere inside your warehouse.
RFID Tags. RFID tags are often placed on vehicles like cars, trucks and buses to automatically identify them and grant secure access to the premises. The tag contains an identification number that can be transmitted back to the reader. It may also contain other relevant information, security codes, keys, etc.
Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is a type of passive wireless technology that allows for tracking or matching of an item or individual. The system has two basic parts: tags and readers.
RFID Inlays are like tags but are smaller in size and only contain the antenna and chip. RFID inlays are typically used by being embedded in something like a card or label. Inlays can be passive or active and require a shorter distance to be read from the reader device.
Wet inlays work best on cardboard and paper. For curved or rough surfaces, or those likely to be contaminated with dust or moisture, dry inlays are the better choice, because they allow users to apply an adhesive that will hold up better in such surfaces.
