Basic Arrow Charts RecurveCompoundArrow Length Draw Weight27 30-35 15-20 700 35-40 20-25 600 40-45 25-30 600**19 more rows
As draw weight increases, so should arrow rigidity (spine). Also, we strongly recommend that you use an arrow with at least 5 grains of weight per pound or draw weight (if you are shooting a 60 lb. bow, you should use and arrow of not less than 300 grains). This includes your field point or broadhead.
The Classic 600 Round is a long distance indoor round. This round is generally shot on a single spot face with one target per shooter and 4 targets per buttress. There are 4 ends of 5 arrows shot at each distance. Archers shoot 20 arrows at 40 yards, 50 yards, and finally 60 yards.
The numbers refer to the spine of the arrow. The different spines refer to the stiffness, a 400 spine arrow is generally for bows 40-60 lbs. 350 spine is for bows roughly 55 - 75 lbs, and a 500 spine arrow is for bows roughly 30 - 50 lbs.
Typically, the higher the number, the weaker the spine. Common spine ratings are 300, 400, 500 and 600, with 300-spine arrows being the stiffest. Manufacturers recommend which spine should work best for various draw weights, arrow lengths and point weights.
The spine rating of an arrow is simply a measurement of its stiffness. The same Easton arrow comes in a variety of stiffness: the lower the number, the stiffer the arrow. For example, a 330 arrow is stiffer than a 500 spine arrow.
