okay to validate my people XML document against the people DTD Iamp;#39;ve got to somehow tell this XML document that the DTD is what Iamp;#39;m going to validate it with and the way I do that we did it earlier but I just want to remind you refresh your memory of it now because weamp;#39;re about to get into validating weamp;#39;re going to put a tag in the top of the XML document and notice itamp;#39;s doc type then weamp;#39;ll put the root element which is people then weamp;#39;ll put the word system and then we will put the reference to the external document now I can put an HTTP colen whack whack and if Iamp;#39;ve got a DTD out there on a web server somewhere I can have any of my XML files docHub across the internet and grab that but since this one is on the same machine in the same folder as my XML file Iamp;#39;ll just put the name of it here people dd. DTD and just like that I have it done now let me make this just a little wider so itamp;#39;ll stay on the same line
