A Rich Text Document (. rtf file) is a versatile format that allows advanced formatting to be viewed on multiple platforms. Please note that RTFs, unlike PDFs, are easily edited. Before following the steps below, make sure you have made all necessary edits and revisions to your document.
An RTF file comprises a series of control words, control symbols, and groups. A control word is a sequence of letters preceded by a backslash and terminated by a space, digit, or any non-alphabetic character. Control words support the representation of the structure, formatting, and layout of document text.
Rich Text Format (RTF) is a file Format that lets you exchange text files between different word processors in different operating systems (OSes). For example, you can create a file in Microsoft Word and then open it in another word processor, such as Apple Pages or Google Docs.
To batch convert from a Rich Text Format RTF to PDF, open the Win2PDF Desktop Batch Convert window and set the Convert To Format to PDF. Set the Convert Files From location to the folder containing the RTF files to convert, and set the Save To folder to the location for the converted PDF files.
How to convert PDF to RTF the quick way. Go to the File menu on the PDF you wish to convert. Navigate to Export To and then start by going to the File menu of your PDF. Select Rich Text Format.
RTF files are encoded using the American Standard Code for Information Interchange (ASCII) standard, which makes them easy to transfer between different computers and OSes.
Open the systems print dialogue box. (You can click Control + P, or File Print.) Under Printer, Select Microsoft Print to PDF. Click Print to save a copy of the RTF file as a PDF on your computer.
RTF code consists of plaintext, commands, escapes, and groups: Plaintext contains seven bit (US ASCII) characters except for \, {, and }. Returns and linefeeds can be present but are ignored, and are harmless (as long as they are not in the middle of an RTF command).
