In this tutorial, we demonstrate how to convert form-based PDF contracts into structured data by creating a document parser. We will extract key information such as dates and checkbox values from a standardized lease agreement. The process begins by selecting "standardized contracts" when prompted for the document type. After uploading sample contracts to use as blueprints, we establish parsing rules. The first rule is designed to extract the signatory's name by drawing a square around the relevant area in the document. This includes a text manipulation filter that separates the full name into first and last names. The second rule focuses on extracting the signatory's date of birth using a date preset and a similar method of selection.
