As the name suggests, these edits list add-on codes. Those CPT and HCPCS codes that would not be payable on their own. These codes will need a primary code billed first before we can charge for them, with 1 exception. Example would be: hydration additional hour with hydration initial hour. This add-on code can only get paid, if first we are also billing for this one or any other applicable primary base code.
