welcome im really happy today to have uh doug cutting with us doug uh ive known doug for a long time he was an undergraduate in a class that ivan sagan i taught the ling 110 was it linguistics 110 at stanford that was a remarkable class it was a beginning linguistics class but out of that class came a lot of stuff um doug who did uh lucine and and and and and dutch and hadoop and sami shao did java so a lot a lot of software came out of those 20 students or whatever um uh doug then uh came to uh xerox park where i was working to do uh work in information retrieval and then made this this this this this tour of the valley so to speak that i think hell talk about but um was it apple for a while um doing the software that wound up being um whats it called spotlight spotlight uh the the ir software uh then was at various other places at um at yahoo for a long time where he did um a lot of work in the basic open source source software that underlies uh search um then hadoop which hell

The cut command removes the selected data from its original position, while the copy command creates a duplicate; in both cases the selected data is kept in temporary storage (the clipboard). The data from the clipboard is later inserted wherever a paste command is issued.
Cutting and pasting cell contents The Cut feature allows you to remove information from cells in the spreadsheet. Information that is cut can be pasted in another cell, as long as the pasting occurs before you perform another operation.
