Select the cell or range of cells. Select Copy or press Ctrl + C. Select Paste or press Ctrl + V.

Not entirely clear from your post but if you just want to paste the format only from one sheet to another Highlight your entire source worksheet (click on a cell and hit ctrl+a) Click format painter (the paintbrush icon) go to your destination worksheet and select cell A1. Format should paste onto your new sheet.
