how do you improve contractor estimates con contact 10 maybe one two if that uh give you an estimate or even return calls yes its a constant struggle i i would say its a numbers game just to your point so if you know that you are going to get one to two actual quotes after contacting 10 contractors and you want four quotes you should probably contact 20 contractors as time-consuming as that would be and you know three of those are going to stand you up if you try to make appointments with them one at a time i could easily be a time suck we are constantly looking for new contractors filtering through those referrals that we get seeing who contacts us seeing who actually shows up right now we actually have one contractor where weve never worked with him ive worked with him from another capacity previously but he really wanted to do some work and he kept saying that he had crews and he had crews so we got him to bid out a couple jobs and we gave him one the total job is twenty thousan
