today Iamp;#39;m going to show you how to turn off some of these annoying blocks that come on Magento by default built into their default theme so some of these blocks you may have noticed uh so this may look different than yours because I have our theme installed on it uh but if you were seeing this typically youamp;#39;d be seeing this PayPal logo um right here in the right sidebar and um thereamp;#39;s a whole bunch of these other blocks like the the um the cart in the sidebar the back to school logo the dog picture uh these are sort of things that pop up throughout magenta that theyamp;#39;ve put in here by default and letamp;#39;s say you just want to turn them off okay so weamp;#39;re going to be doing that by using a file called local.xml and what this is is this file is going to be the last file that Magento looks to when determining these layouts and because of that youamp;#39;re youamp;#39;re able to put anything that you want to override in this one particular file a
