when you own a Google Doc you have total control over user permissions and you can delete the doc whenever you please but if you need to pass these responsibilities on to someone else you can transfer ownership of the document to another person first youll need to open a Google Doc that you are the owner of then click the share button youll see a list of everyone youve shared the document with you can transfer ownership to one of these people or you can email an invitation to someone new just type their email address into the text box and click send once you decide on the new owner click the drop-down arrow by their name and select make owner youll need to confirm your choice just in case you have second thoughts about this permanent change once youre sure click yes that person will immediately become the owner of the document your permission will change to editor unless the new owner changes it to something else also you will no longer be able to delete the document this feature

If you cant edit a file, a few things could be wrong: The file owner didnt give you permission to view the file. Youre signed in to a different Google Account. Someone else with edit access removed your permission to edit.
Turn off autocorrect Open a document or presentation in Google Docs. Click Tools Preferences. General. To turn off certain autocorrects, like automatic capitalization, spelling corrections, or link detection, uncheck the box next to the function. Click OK.

On your computer, open a document at docs.google.com. Select the text you want to change. A button appears on the right margin. Click Suggest edits . If you dont find Suggesting. on the toolbar, choose an option: At the top right, click Editing. and then from the drop-down, select Suggesting. . Click Request edit access.
Unfortunately, you can only set a new owner for files created in Google apps. In other words, you can change the owner of Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drawings and My Maps. You can transfer ownership of a folder as well, but changing the owner of the folder wont change the owners of the files within that folder.
You can change the name thats linked to your email address. Important: The name linked to your email address is not your username. You cant change your username or email address.
Does editing publicly shared Google Docs reveal your identity? Google Docs keeps a history of all edits made to a document. But when users edit the document through public sharing, their identity remains anonymous, regardless of whether theyve signed in to their Google Account or not.
If you share or open a file with a link, you may not see the names of people who view it. People you didnt invite individually will show as anonymous animals when theyre in the file. People you invite individually will show by name when theyre in the file.
Line and paragraph spacing Select the text you want to format. Click the Line spacing button, then select the desired line spacing option from the drop-down menu. You can also click Custom spacing to fine-tune the spacing. The line spacing will adjust in the document.
