In Word, you can adjust line and paragraph spacing in your documents for better readability. To change line spacing, select text, then click the Line and Paragraph Spacing command in the Paragraph group. The default spacing is 1.08, and you can adjust it to 1.0 for closer lines or 2.0 for double spacing. For more precise control, click Line Spacing Options to modify the line-spacing mode and amount. Setting the mode to Multiple allows you to input a specific spacing value, such as changing from the default 1.08 to 1.25 for increased space. Alternatively, if you prefer point measurement, select Exactly, usually setting it slightly larger than the font size.
