Hey there. Howamp;#39;s it going everybody in this video? Weamp;#39;re going to be looking at how to read parse and write CSV files now if you donamp;#39;t know what CSV files are it stands for comma separated values basically CSV files allow us to put into a plain text file Some data and use some type of delimiter usually a comma to separate the different fields now I have a sample CSV file here that we can work with and if we look at this then we can see how these are Usually structured so this can kind of look like a mess, but itamp;#39;s not really meant to be read directly This is just how the data is stored And then we can use our programs to parse out the information that we want, but we can see that the top Line here has our fields now our fields in this file are first name Last name and email so that tells us the information that we should expect to see on every line so if I go to the next line here then we can see that John is the first name and then a comma though is the

Standard CSV conventions Use a double quote before and after any value containing a space, a comma or any special character, to escape these characters. If a double quote is present in a value, always escape it using the backslash character before the double quote.
Separately, select the desired cells, go to Home Cells Format Format Cells Fill, and select Black.
One of the most common CSV import errors is that the file is simply too large. That can be caused by too many fields or records in the file, too many columns, or too many rows. The import error can be caused by limits set by the program using the file or the amount of available memory on the system.
Cell Character Limits csv files have a limit of 32,767 characters per cell. Excel has a limit of 1,048,576 rows and 16,384 columns per sheet. CSV files can hold many more rows. You can read more about these limits and others from this Microsoft support article here.
CSV Column Names are not case-sensitive and may be arranged in any order, but the accompanying detail must be in the same order as the column names. Each item is separated by a comma. 01/01/1999,AAA,0100,00001,Y,5.0,Meeting with Client. 01/01/1999,BBB,0100,00001,Y,0.5,Telephone conference.
There are no restrictions on what characters you can use in a CSV file. The limitation is the way the file is encoded. Here is an article on choosing the right encoding, UTF-8 is the recommended encoding for the file because it supports almost every possible character.
Rules for CSV file naming The file name must begin with a table or group reference, followed by a start time, and end in . CSV. The start time in the file name must be at or before the first time stamp in the file. The end time is optional and can be at or after the last time stamp in the file.
For csv, in general you need to avoid the character which you are using as delimiter, and the single row should not be split into multiple rows, meaning there should not be any enter character in between the data of a single record.
