hello Iamp;#39;m Jessica an e-learning specialist and Iamp;#39;m here today to show you how to adjust your columns in Excel so you can see we have a an excel file here and thereamp;#39;s a lot of text in some of them and currently I canamp;#39;t see them so thereamp;#39;s a few ways to do it first you can just simply click between the columns and drag I can highlight a number of columns and here if I drag itamp;#39;s actually going to make them all exactly the same or if I click in the upper corner youamp;#39;ll see itamp;#39;s actually selected all of the cells and if I double click itamp;#39;s going to take all of the cells and make them all as long as the column needs to be to show you all of the information in that cell and there you have it a great way to make your columns whatever size you need it to be real quick short and easy hope this helps

Select the cells or table you want to format. In the Format sidebar, click the Cell tab. Click the Data Format pop-up menu and choose an option: Number: Displays standard number formatting.
On the Home tab, in the Number group, click the dialog box launcher next to Number (or just press CTRL+1). In the Category list, click the format that you want to use, and then adjust settings, if necessary.
Resize a table by adding or removing rows and columns Click anywhere in the table, and the Table Tools option appears. Click Design Resize Table. Select the entire range of cells you want your table to include, starting with the upper-leftmost cell. When youve selected the range you want for your table, press OK.
Use Paste Special and Multiply Select the cells that have numbers stored as text. On the Home tab, select Paste Paste Special. Select Multiply, and then click OK. Excel multiplies each cell by 1, and in doing so, converts the text to numbers.
To apply a custom number format to your spreadsheet: On your computer, open a spreadsheet in Google Sheets. Highlight the data you want to format. Click Format Number. Click Custom number format. Search in the menu text box to select a format. Click Apply.
Advanced Number Formats Select the cell(s) that contain values you want to format. Click the Number Format list arrow from the Home tab. Select More Number Formats. Right-click the cell(s) to be formatted and select Format Cells from the contextual menu. Select a Category. Specify the formatting options. Click OK.
How to create a custom number format in Excel Select a cell for which you want to create custom formatting, and press Ctrl+1 to open the Format Cells dialog. Under Category, select Custom. Type the format code in the Type box. Click OK to save the newly created format.
To see all available number formats, select the Dialog Box Launcher next to Number on the Home tab in the Number group. The default number format that Excel applies when you type a number. For the most part, numbers that are formatted with the General format are displayed just the way you type them.
