Dear [tenants full name], This letter serves as a formal notice to vacate the property at [address of rental property], pursuant to our lease agreement dated [lease start date]. Please consider the following details: Move-out date: As stipulated in our lease agreement, your lease will expire on [lease end date].
The notice should have your name, the unit you are occupying and the date in which you will be completely moved out. It should also include a forwarding address to where your security deposit can be mailed. If you have a month-to-month rental agreement, a 30-day notice should be provided to the landlord.

You should say something like: I am giving 1 months notice to end my tenancy, as required by law. I will be leaving the property on (date xx). I would like you to be at the property on the day I move out to check the premises and for me to return the keys.
If the landlord wants to end the tenancy, they must give the tenant advance written notice the day before that last rental period begins. If the landlord misses the deadline, the notice is not effective and the tenancy is automatically extended for another month.
