SER serves all persons physically present in Michigan.
Through a combination of direct financial assistance and contracts with a network of non-profit organizations such as the Salvation Army and local Community Action Organizations, SER helps low-income households meet emergency needs such as: Heat Utilities. Home Repairs. Relocation Assistance.
Michigan Medicaid coverage Doctor visits, including an annual health exam. Specialty medical services, including dental, vision, hearing, speech, podiatry, and chiropractic services. Prescription medicine or medical supplies. X-rays, labs, and immunizations (shots)
To apply for SER, submit an application to the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS). The application process takes around 10 days to complete. One way to apply is online through the MDHHS website, MI Bridges .
