The state Use Tax rate is the same as the Sales Tax rate, 6.500%. In addition, you are required to remit the city and/or county tax where the items are first delivered in Arkansas. Option 2 involves reporting/paying the 7% Wholesale Vending Tax (see Rule 1995-2) each month on the merchandise to be sold through the taxpayers vending machines. Merchandise is purchased tax free under the sale for resale exemption. A Sales/Use Tax Permit is required.
Vendor sales tax details The minimum combined 2025 sales tax rate for Vendor, Arkansas is 7.5%. This is the total of state, county, and city sales tax rates. The Arkansas sales tax rate is currently 6.5%. The Vendor sales tax rate is 0%.
Some goods are exempt from sales tax under Arkansas law. Examples include prescription drugs, purchases made with food stamps, and some farming equipment.
