In Part I, provide details about your business, including the principal business activity, business code, and address. If you don’t have a separate business name, leave that field blank.
For Part II, report your gross receipts on line 1. Ensure that this amount reflects all taxable income received during the year.
On line 2, list total deductible expenses. Remember, if these exceed $5,000, you must switch to Schedule C.
Calculate your net profit by subtracting total expenses from gross receipts on line 3. If this amount is less than zero, you will need to use Schedule C instead.
If claiming vehicle expenses, complete Part III by providing details about your vehicle usage and answering related questions.
