No. The Georgia Rental Assistance program is no longer accepting new tenant applications. All completed applications currently pending in the portal will be processed in the order in which they were received and/or the prioritization designated by the U.S. Treasury and program guidelines.
Renters who qualify must have a household income that is below 80% of the area median income. Priority will be given to tenants and families whose household income is below 50% of the area median income or households with one or more individuals who have been unemployed for 90 days at the time of application.
The money is distributed directly to landlords and service providers, where applicable, and eligible applicants will receive up to 18 months of payment relief.
The Housing Choice Voucher Program is a tenant-based rental assistance program that assists very low income individuals and families with renting safe, decent, and affordable dwelling units in the private rental market.
