Your Rights When Your Baggage Is Delayed Most airlines offer compensation for essential items you need to purchase when your luggage is delayed. If you are travelling away from your home, this coverage typically includes necessary toiletries, underwear, and laundry expenses.
You can claim compensation and claim for the delayed baggage and extra expenses on necessary stuff. If within 21 days the airlines is not able to locate your bag, it will be declared as missing and you will get compensated.
Loss or incident report from the transportation or accommodation provider showing the date and the cause of loss, damage or delay. If you are claiming for baggage delay, it should also include the duration of the delay. High-quality photo and/or video evidence clearly showing the damage you are claiming for.
If your luggage is delayed or missing, the airline has 21 days to find it and get it to you. If you get your luggage back within 21 days, you can still claim compensation for delayed luggage. If you dont, claim for lost luggage.
