As a signatory for my station at LAS the badging processing times have several variables. How many applicants, badging office staffing, individual background checks, ability to schedule exam, type of badge, (customs seal) etc. Ive had badges issued for my employees within 10 days and Ive had it take up to 4 weeks.
The length of time needed for a background check varies for each person, but generally takes anywhere from 5 to 14 days.
Your badge type requires an FBI fingerprint background check and TSA security threat assessment. These must be completed before the badging process can continue. A warrants check will also be conducted. If you have any outstanding warrants, they must be resolved before the badge can be issued.
You are encouraged to call the STL Badging and Fingerprinting Office at (314)426-8095 to check on your own badge approval status.
If your badge is lost, you must report it to Airport Operations immediately and have it replaced. Replacement of a lost badge will be at your expense following the current approved fee structure with a partial refund if the badge is located and returned to Airport Operations prior to the expiration date.
