Form 104 is a Colorado state income tax return. It requires taxpayers to report their federal adjusted gross income, taxable income, deductions, and credits. Additionally, taxpayers must report their Social Security number, filing status, and the amount of taxes they owe or the amount of refund they are due.
If you need to change or amend an accepted Colorado State Income Tax Return for the current or previous Tax Year, you need to complete Form 104X. Form 104X is a Form used for the Tax Amendment. You can prepare a Current Tax Year Colorado Tax Amendment on eFile.com, however you cannot submit it electronically.
Please note that it usually takes about 7-10 business days for the U.S. Postal Service to deliver the refund checks, but occasionally it can up to 30 days. If it has been more than 30 days and you have not received your refund check, you can start the refund check reissue process by signing a refund reissue letter.
2024 TABOR Refund (refunded in 2025) Sales Tax Refund Eligible 2024 full-year residents may claim this refund if they file a 2024 Colorado Individual Income Tax Return or a 2024 Property Tax/Rent/Heat (PTC) Rebate Application by October 15, 2025.
