The Preschool Behavioral and Emotional Rating Scale (PreBERS) is a standardized, norm-referenced instrument that assesses the emotional and behavioral strengths of preschool children. Two studies that investigated the testretest and inter-rater reliability of the PreBERS are reported.
The questionnaire is designed to capture three broad dimensions: surgency/extraversion, negative affectivity, and effortful control. Informants are asked to rate their child based on how they feel that their childs reaction is likely to be in a variety of situations.
