Undergraduates who enter as first-year students in Boston through fall admission and NUin will live in university housing during their first and second years, unless an academic or co-op experience takes them outside of the Boston area.
Admissions Acceptance Deferral A student who is not able to start their studies during the academic term for which they gained acceptance must contact the Office of Admissions to request a deferral of admission. A student may request a deferral for up to one year, unless otherwise noted for specific programs.
HOUSING REQUIREMENTS All first-time freshman students (under 30 hours before the beginning of fall semester) who are unmarried, without dependents, and under the age of 21 are required to reside in campus housing during the academic year.
Required students who wish to submit a Residency Waiver, can find the form on their Housing Online under Forms and Requests. Students will need to provide a short description of the reason for request following the directions in the form and provide the required documentation for review.
Undergraduates who enter as first-year students through fall admission are required to live in university housing unless a residency waiver request is approved.
