Some radiologist techs choose to earn a bachelors in science instead of an associate degree. This takes at least four years to complete. After graduating with a degree, most aspiring radiology techs must also pass a certification exam and complete licensing requirements, which can take several months.
After successfully passing the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) Examination students are eligible for California licensure. A Certificate of Achievement is awarded upon completion of all required courses with a grade of C or better.
