What is a briefing sheet?

As a COSS you need to have a clear understanding of track safety rules. You will find most of them in modules T2, T7 and T12 of the Rule Book but there are many other documents which contain instructions relevant to you.

Can a COSS work alone?

Only a person with a valid Sentinel Card endorsed IWA or COSS can work alone on or near the line. If your Sentinel Card only shows COSS with a red triangle you must not work alone. IWA working at least 2 metres from any line You must keep at least 2m from any line open to train movements.
