The Experience section allows RBT supervisees to log their hours and review their progress toward the monthly certification requirements from the BACB. It also allows supervisors to oversee the progress of their RBT supervisees. Users can enter and view experience hours from the Log tab.

How do I get BCBA supervision hours?

In order to get supervision hours, you will need to find a BACB approved BCBA who will serve as your supervisor. Supervisors do not need to be fellow graduates of the same program. People often choose their supervisors based on location, availability, and scope of practice.

Do Bcba need to be supervised?

The Behavior Analysis Certification Board® (BACB®) requires supervision for those seeking to become Board Certified Behavior Analysts® (BCBA®) or Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analysts® (BCaBA®). The BACB also requires ongoing supervision for BCaBAs and for Registered Behavior Technicians\u2122 (RBT®).

Can you have multiple BCBA supervisors?

The BCBA offers 2 versions of this form, the individual supervisor and the multiple supervisors within an organization. Use the individual supervisor form if you are working with only 1 supervisor. Use the multiple supervisors within an organization form if you have multiple supervisors at the same organization.

What percentage of hours of supervision time should Bcaba and Bcba trainees receive during independent fieldwork?

The BACB requires supervision equal at least 5% of your fieldwork each month. For example, if you plan to accrue 60 total experience hours that month, you will be required to have 3 hours of supervision during the month.

How are BCBA supervision hours calculated?

How much supervision do I need according to the BACB? For the 4th Edition task list, individualized supervision for BCBA requires 1500 total experience hours, 5% of which are supervised by a BCBA. This equates to approximately 75 hours by the end of your supervision.

How long does it take BACB to approve application?

After the BACB receives your request and supporting documentation, it will conduct a review of the requested accommodation. This review is typically completed within 10\u201314 days. If the BACB requests additional documentation, however, the review of your request may take longer.

Does studying for the BCBA exam count as unrestricted hours?

Trainees are not required to accrue restricted hours, but they are required to accrue unrestricted hours so that they're fully prepared to do everything a certified behavior analyst does. This leaves room for many different approaches.
