Students earn service-learning hours if their service-learning projects meet MSDE guidelines. Only CCPS Service-Learning Coordinators and School Administrators can approve hours. You can check your service learning hours by going to Carroll County Home Access (HAC) . Then, going to GRADES, Then click on TEST SCORES.
Service Learning The Service-Learning Graduation Requirement was passed in 1992 by the Maryland State Department of Education. This requirement mandates that public school students earn a minimum of 75 hours of service-learning prior to graduation.
Service-Learning incorporates community-based volunteer service into academic instruction. It is driven by the learning objectives of the course and, at the same time, responds to the real needs of community organizations.
