New York State Real Property Tax Law (RPTL) 467-m (Act) adopted the Affordable Housing from Commercial Conversions Tax Incentive Benefits (AHCC Program Benefits) program in order to provide real property tax exemptions for the conversions of non-residential buildings, except a hotel or other class B multiple
The Clean Energy Systems Exemption offered by New York State Real Property Tax Law (RPTL) Section 487 encourages the installation of certain energy systems in residential, commercial, institutional, and industrial applications, including solar, wind, and energy storage, among other eligible technologies.
Real Property Tax Law, section 467, gives local governments and public school districts the option of granting a reduction in the amount of property taxes paid by qualifying senior citizens. To qualify, seniors must be 65 years of age or older, meet certain income limitations, and other requirements.
Schedule C of the PA Inheritance Tax Return is used to report closely-held Corporations, Partnerships and Sole- Proprietorships. Any QFOBI interest should be reported on Schedule C. When claiming the exemption, the value of the interest will be listed at zero.
Those who qualify for the credit can receive a check from the state. The real property tax credit may be available to New York State residents who have household gross incomes of $18,000 or less, and pay either real property taxes or rent for their residences.
