To qualify for the program an applicant must: Live in Illinois. Be employed and/or going to an eligible educational activity (High school, trade school, undergraduate college...) Have family income below allowable limits (see 01.02.01 - Income Guidelines, 2021-07-01 by family size.
The license is free. It lasts for three years. You must be 18 years old to get a license. You do not need a high school diploma or a GED.
