Hours may be earned if they are obtained under the direction of a professional certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

Can an OTA complete discharge documentation?

No. The occupational therapist must review any information from the occupational therapy assistant(s), determine if goals were met or not, complete and sign the discharge documentation and/or make recommendations for any further needs of the patient in another continuum of care.

How do you get observation hours?

Talk to your relatives about asking their friends who have a connection to your field of interest.
