While IDX can be a valuable tool for real estate agents, you dont need it on your website.
A real estate agent might choose not to list a property on the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) for several reasons: Privacy Concerns: The seller may want to keep the sale private, limiting exposure to only interested buyers rather than the general public.
Youll want to consider getting an IDX feed if: Youre an established real estate agent and know exactly what your niche is. Your promotional tactic is that youre a one-stop-shop experience. Youre building up trust with your clients and you want to ensure you get all your leads.
IDX policy gives MLS participants the ability to authorize limited electronic display of their listings by other participants. MLSs are required to promptly provide basic downloading of certain listing information.
