The Lifetime Achievement award requires a minimum of 4,000 hours of documented volunteer service. Depending on the level of service, awardees may receive a personalized certificate, an official pin, medallion, and/or a congratulatory letter from the President.
The American Red Cross Lifesaving awards are a tribute award to honor individuals who have demonstrated exceptional bravery and skill in the face of emergencies, making a docHub impact on their communities and the lives they touch.
The primary indicators of excellence must be based on academic achievement. School personnel may also consider, as part of the criteria, activities in which a student demonstrates high motivation, initiative, integrity, intellectual depth, leadership qualities and/or exceptional judgment.
To receive a Gold, Silver, or Bronze Presidents Volunteer Service Award, you must be a U.S. citizen or US Permanent Resident and have completed your service within the last twelve months.
If the nominee has used any lifesaving skill taught by the American Red Cross during an incident, such as: first aid, CPR, using an AED or epinephrine auto-injector, giving back blows and abdominal thrusts or even calling 9-1-1 and providing care, they would be eligible for one of the three awards offered.
