South Carolina doesnt have a general business license at the state level, so there are no fees there. However, your business may need a state-level occupational license or municipal-level license or permit to operate.
These fees will be collected when the permit is received. There is a $64 base fee for a City of Charleston business license, plus $3.90 per additional $1,000 of expected income. The business license fee will be collected when the permit is received.
NOTE: While the County does not require a business license, we do require a business to file a business registration application. There is no fee associated with the registration, but proper registration is required by law.
