There are four ways you can apply for FEMA disaster assistance: Fill out a DisasterAssistance.gov application online. Apply using the FEMA app. Download the free app from your smart phones app store. Apply by phone at 1-800-621-3362. Apply in person at a Disaster Recovery Center (DRC). Find a DRC near you.
If you qualify for FEMAs Individuals and Households Program, you will receive a check in the mail or direct deposit to your bank and a separate letter, in the mail, explaining how you may use the assistance. You may get additional funds from other programs later.
