NSNA Membership is open to all Nursing or Pre-Nursing students in any state ap- proved program preparing for registered nurse licensure, or registered nurses in a pro- gram leading to a baccalaureate in nursing, are eligible for membership. Nursing students in generic masters and doctoral programs can also join.
To become inducted into the NSLS, a student must first be nominated by their school. If their campus does not have an NSLS chapter they can self-nominate through the website. To qualify for nomination, students must hold a 3.0 GPA and receive a recommendation from at least one faculty member (three is recommended).
To qualify as an individual member, one must be a Registered Nurse (RN) holding an active, unencumbered in at least one State, territory, or possession of the US or be a recent graduate of a nursing program qualifying them to take the RN licensure exam (must be confirmed within six months).
The NSNA is a pre-professional organization dedicated to fostering the professional growth of nursing students around the country. This nation-wide organization is essentially the student nurse equivalent to the American Nurses Association (ANA).

Your school must have a process for students to opt out of Total Membership. As an added incentive, the NSNA dues for both new and renewing members will be $22.00 for national dues plus state dues. Note that individual students renewing NSNA membership pay $30.00 plus state dues.
