Research Experiences for STEM Educators and Teachers (RESET), a division of the Army Educational OutdocHub Program (AEOP), is designed to provide high school and middle school educators with an authentic summer research experience at participating Army Research Laboratories and Centers.
We define teacher research as systematic investigations of how teaching influences student learning over time in a single classroom or learning community. It is inquiry that is systematic, intentional, contextual, ethical and above all responsive to the learners strengths and challenges.
The Research Experience for Teachers (RET) is an intensive professional development program where we place middle and high school science, technology, engineering, and mathematics teachers in Materials Research Science and Engineering Center (MRSEC) laboratories for seven weeks.
