Structural dynamics is a type of structural analysis which covers the behavior of a structure subjected to dynamic (actions having high acceleration) loading. Dynamic loads include people, wind, waves, traffic, earthquakes, and blasts. Any structure can be subjected to dynamic loading.
Team dynamics: In this context, a team is a structured group of people working towards a common goal, where each member has a clearly defined role and is held accountable. Ideally, team members trust and support each other and collaborate effectively.
Structural dynamics aims to understand the response of structures to dynamic loading over time. There are two types of dynamic loading - prescribed (periodic or non-periodic) and random.
Structural dynamics is about the characterization of structural properties and the behaviour of structures. Structural properties are expressed in a set of modal parameters, each consisting of mode shape with an associated natural (resonance) frequency and damping value.
Objectives of a dynamic analysis include: Design structural and mechanical systems to perform without failure in dynamic environments. Modify systems characteristics (i.e., geometry, damping mechanisms, material properties, etc.) to reduce vibration effects.

The basic objective in structural design and analysis is to produce a structure capable of resisting all applied loads without failure during its intended life.
Communities are complex systems that can be characterized by community structure (the number and size of populations and their interactions) and community dynamics (how the members and their interactions change over time).
The objective of the course is to understand the behaviour of structure especially building to various dynamic loads: such as wind, earthquake, machine vibration and ambient vibration.
