Geisel Library. Geisel Library is the main library building of the University of California, San Diego. It is named in honor of Audrey and Theodor Seuss Geisel, the latter of whom is better known as childrens author Dr. Seuss.
All members of the community are welcome to visit the Geisel Library and WongAvery Library to use onsite collections during our service hours. Access to group study rooms, and login workstations is restricted to current UC San Diego students, faculty, and staff.
1995. In recognition of a substantial gift from Audrey Geisel, the University Library was renamed Geisel Library in honor of Audrey and her late husband Theodor Seuss Geisel (Dr. Seuss) for their commitment to promoting literacy and education.
