CPT Eligibility: Limited to F-1 students who have completed 3 cumulative academic quarters without interruption to their enrollment or SEVIS record.
CPT is an experiential component of the students academic experience. CPT cannot be used to begin permanent employment. Students may begin CPT only after receiving authorization by the International Student Advisor at the University of Richmond. CPT authorization is noted on the last page of the students I-20 form.
Curricular Practical Training (CPT) is an alternative work/study, internship, co-op or other type of required practical training that a sponsoring employer offers through cooperative agreements with your college or university.
