UNM Scholars Scholarships are funded by a combination of Legislative Lottery Scholarship and private funds, donated by individuals and businesses as well as a contribution from the Universitys Hugh B. and Helen K. Woodward Trust Fund.
The Deans Graduate Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship are awarded every Fall semester to incoming graduate students admitted in that Fall semester or the prior Spring semester. Scholarships are subject to the availability of funds and are awarded on a rolling basis. Students are encouraged to apply early.
To qualify for the Lottery Scholarship, you will need to: Successfully complete at least twelve credit hours with a semester GPA of 2.5 or better in the first term of college, the Qualifying Semester. Student MUST successfully complete 30 credits hours per academic year (Fall, Spring, and Summer).
Maintaining Your Scholarship Must successfully complete 12 new credit hours each semester (repeated classes do not count toward credit hours earned) AND maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA. Student MUST successfully complete 30 credit hours per academic year (Fall, Spring, and Summer).
