First-year applicants are required to report their grades exactly as they appear on their high school transcript. UT also requires applicants to upload the unofficial transcript used to self-report grades. Unofficial high school transcripts can be uploaded either to the SRAR itself, or in your Go Vols Portal.
In order to complete your application to UT, all students are required to complete essays and self-report standardized test scores by November 15. Letters of recommendation are optional but encouraged.
Do I still have to complete my SRAR? Yes, UT requires all applicants to complete a SRAR in order to be considered for admission. Students applying to UT via the Common Application are still required to complete a SRAR.
Some colleges require you to use the SRAR as part of your application process, which allows you to enter your academic history directly into their system rather than send official transcripts right away. This makes the process easier and faster, but only if a college specifically requires it.
The required minimum weighted core GPA is a 3.5 and an ACT of 25 (or SAT ERW+M of 1220).
