If you would like to research using Harvard Library and you do not have a Harvard University affiliation or belong to another organization with an existing library access agreement, you can apply for either a Library Access Card or a Library Borrowing Card.
To that end, the Library is open to the public, however some spaces require reservations, walk-in day passes, or access cards depending on your affiliation with the university.

Firestone Library is probably the most well-known of the Princeton libraries. Its huge, with three below-ground and three above-ground floors. Its full of conference rooms, individual desks, couches and books, of course. Princeton students come here to study all the time.
The library has more than 7 million books, 2 million non-print items, 49,000 linear feet of manuscripts, and extensive collections of digital text, data and images. The librarys exhibitions and the Cotsen Childrens Library are open to the public, free of charge.
