Co-op students work with the same employer for three or more semesters two of which must be a fall or spring co-ops gain at least a years worth of valuable professional work experience in their majors. Their work experience is documented on their transcripts.
Co-op Program Requirements Experience must be relevant and major related. Experience must be 3 work terms alternating with academic terms (no back-to-back rotations) The length of the experience must be a minimum of 14 weeks in Fall/Spring, minimum of 8 weeks in the summer.
If enrolled in a thesis program and taking thesis hours, the student must earn a satisfactory grade in thesis hours. If the student exceeds the 6-year rule for degree completion, the program may place the student on academic Warning, Probation or Dismissal.
