The recording fee is $25 for the 1st page and $4 for each additional page (per document). Acceptable forms of payment are cash, check, money order, or credit card (except American Express). Please make checks payable to Bexar County Clerk. The County Clerks Office does not prepare deeds or any other documents.

Effective Jan. 1, 2024, filing fees for instruments to be recorded in the Official Public Records are $25 for the first page (instead of $26), and $4 for each additional page. The $1.00 fee has been removed from all OPR filings, Assumed Names/ DBAs, Foreclosure Notice postings, and Marriage Licenses.
Clerk staff will collect the recording fee payment of $25 per each set of 10 entries on any document. Please add a cover letter with contact information for any recordings mailed to our office. This will ensure that the Clerks Office is able to discuss a recording with you if needed.
