New--Online CDS Renewal Application: Applicants can renew their CDS registration up to 60 days before or 30 days after the expiration date listed on the certificate. The OCSA determines if your CDS registration is eligible for a 3-year registration at the time of renewal. The fee for a 3-year renewal is $120.
In order to be registered with the Drug Enforcement Administration in Maryland, a person must obtain and retain a controlled dangerous substance registration from the Division of Drug Control. Registration certificates must be maintained at the registered location.
Prescription Drug Monitoring Program All providers/practitioners who prescribe or dispense controlled dangerous substances must attest to the completion of the 2-hour Continuing Education on the initial and renewal CDS application. The requirement does not apply to researchers.
Using the OCSA Online Renewal website () , the registrant can renew their CDS registration online up to 60 days before or 30 days after the expiration date listed on the certificate.
To request for an address or name change, visit the Office of Controlled Substances Administration website to download the Controlled Dangerous Substances application at . The address and/or name change registration fee is $50.
