-IAW AR 135-18, table 2-1, enlisted Soldiers must hold a grade of E-4 through E-7 (for AGR program - USAR). All other enlisted Soldiers will not be eligible for consideration during the quarterly panel review. If an officer must possess the grade equal to or below that authorized for the AGR duty position.
Can you reclass while AGR?
USAR AGR enlisted Soldiers reclassification requests are processed by HRC AGR Reclassification Team. AGR Reclassification is based off strength of MOS by grade. HRC reclassification is based on balancing the AGR force. Soldiers can be reclassified from an over-strength MOS into a shortage MOS.
What are the requirements for AGR in the Army?
ENLISTED SOLDIERS You must be a SPC through SFC. You must be able to complete the 3-year initial tour prior to the date of mandatory removal from an active status based on age or service. You must meet the military education requirements for your grade (AR 135-18, Table 2-1, Rule C) unless waived.
Eligible Soldiers can begin receiving transition counseling and employment assistance 18 months prior to transitioning from active duty or 24 months prior to retirement. Active duty Soldiers and their eligible Family members may participate in TAP services up to 365 days following their release from active duty.
How long does it take to go to the AGR Army?
The standard processing time is approximately 45-90 days. How long is the first AGR tour? All Soldiers entering the AGR Program are accessed on a 3-year active duty tour.
