The Certified Family Life Educator (CFLE) credential is the nationally recognized standard in Family Life Education, and it validates your experience and knowledge as a Family Life Educator. The CFLE credential, which is offered by the National Council.
The two ways to become a CFLE are to graduate from a CFLE-approved program, which includes FSUs Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Science, or take the CFLE exam. CFLEs have proven knowledge in 10 areas including: Families and Individuals in Societal Contexts.
Minimum Requirements to become a CFLE Applicants for the CFLE credential must have earned at least a bachelors degree at an accredited* college/university. Applicants with a degree earned outside of the United States must provide evidence of degree equivalency to a degree earned in the United States.
The National Council on Family Relations (NCFR) provides the Certified Family Life Educator (CFLE) credential, which is recognized in the U.S. and Canada for Family Life Education professions.
