Eligibility. Homeowners, including owners of mobile homes located in mobile home parks, age 65 or older, or receiving Federal Social Security disability benefits, who paid property taxes on their principal residence in New Jersey either directly or through mobile home park site fees.
Beginning with the 2023 filing season, the law: Increases the income limit for the program to $150,000; and. Eliminates the requirement that an applicant must be a New Jersey resident for 10 consecutive years.
New Jersey homeowners are eligible for ANCHOR if they owned and occupied a home in the state that was their principal residence on Oct. 1, 2021. They must also have gross income of $250,000 or less.
Previously, premium tax credits were only available up to certain income levels ($51,040 for an individual or $104,800 for a family of four). Effective in 2021, there are no longer income limits for consumers to qualify for financial help through Get Covered New Jersey.

When will I get an ANCHOR program check? Most will receive their payment about 90 days after application, meaning that residents who applied by December could receive their checks as late as March 2025. This years payments are expected to go out as early as September 15, 2025.
Who is eligible: Homeowners and tenants who occupied their principal residence in New Jersey on October 1, and who paid property taxes on that dwelling either directly or through rent, and whose gross income for the entire year does not exceed $200,000 (homeowners) or $100,000 (tenants).
Who is eligible for the ANCHOR program? ANCHOR eligibility is as follows: NJ homeowners with income of $150,000 or less will receive $1,500. NJ homeowners with income of more than $150,000 and up to $250,000 will receive $1,000. NJ residential renters with income of $150,000 or less will receive $450.
